Steps and Stages within your ceremony…
Each Bride and Groom deserves a unique and personal wedding, tailored to the style and tastes of you and your fiance.
Some religious denominations or cultures have specific traditions for their ceremonies and we are always able to utilize those specifics. If you do not have a custom that you are set to follow, please remember that nothing is written in stone, so each ceremony may be as unique as you are as a couple.
Within each ceremony though, there is a natural and traditional flow that most weddings follow...
The wording goes something like this... "Who gives this woman to be wedded to this man?" or "Who supports this couple in their marriage?" or "Who supports this woman in her marriage to this man?" We may always use names in the offering in marriage as... "Dan, do you and Denise support Kellie in her marriage to Jim?"
The Hand Ceremony - one of the most precious and defining rituals where couples truly see what their partners mean to them. Ask me about how we can incorporate the Hand Ceremony into your wedding. It is truly beautiful!
Readings may come from any number of sources, i.e. books, songs, poems, biblical passages. The point is this is an opportunity to make your ceremony personal and reflective of your beliefs, attitudes, thoughts, emotions, personalities, etc. This is also a terrific opportunity to involve family and friends in your ceremony. I am happy to provide you with plenty of samples and thoughts.
